At the seminar, DigiSign from Hong Kong also attended and presented some use cases.

In total, 25 banks registered, with their executives and those involved in digital banking in attendance. The seminar was very well received and is validation that the interest in the use of biometrics is growing strongly in the financial services sector. All banks requested further information and many are now requesting moving to trial.

Together, the partners shared how Daon’s biometric technologies help financial institutions and regulatory authorities around the globe to unleash the full power of biometric authentication. The speakers Robert Soden (Sales Director) & Clive Bourke (President)  from Daon, Andrew Cheng (Deputy CEO) from Tradelink and Leong  Cheng (Sales Director) of Changing discussed use cases of biometrics, risks and benefits, real world case studies and what we’ve learned from large-scale deployments, the role of FIDO and a lot of live demos of the technology!

Topics specifically covered by Daon included the problems biometric authentication technology solves, use cases for biometrics in banking and payments, and consumer perception from live, large-scale biometric deployments in financial services. Daon was able to highlight the convenience and security of our solution.

During the seminar, discussion also centered around how biometric authentication can evolve from mobile deployment to an Omni-channel strategy in addition to highlighting the key considerations for deploying the technology across multiple channels.
