    Integration with External Systems

    Our framework enables you to provision data to other external systems based on specific events. For example, you can create a business rule so that when you update an ID address in the DaonEngine, it automatically informs any other system (such as a mailing system) of the change.

    Equally important is the ability to take an identity from the DaonEngine database and use it to search within other systems. For example, an immigration department may store the identity data of everyone applying for a Visa. But it can also take that information and use it to search a criminal database owned by a police department.

    Virtualized Environment Support

    The Daon Identity Platform is designed to run on public, private and hybrid cloud computing virtualized environments and is provided with automated (DevOps) scripts for ease of deployment and management allowing the system to elastically scale as the population grows.

    DaonCapture is for customers who prefer to use a web-based application in
    lieu of a Kiosk or PC. DaonCapture allows you to interact with any biometric
    or document capture device
    , such as fingerprint readers, iris scanners, etc. directly from your web browser.

    DaonCapture components can be embedded into third party applications to quickly enable the acquisition of biometric and document data.

    DaonCapture comes in two editions:

    1. DaonCapture.JS components are designed to be embedded into HTML5 web applications.
      These are HTML5 components and do not rely on third party technologies such as ActiveX or Java Applets.
    2. DaonCapture.Net controls are also available and can be used with Microsoft .Net applications for Windows.

  • Turning Data into Insights

     

    DaonInsights is an analytics and reporting framework that can perform analytics on data in DaonEngine (data and quality by age, gender, etc.), and generate summary transaction statistics, data quality metrics, and operational performance reports.

  • DaonAdjudicate provides functionality to distribute biometric adjudication to both experts and non-experts.

     

    Using DaonAdjudicate will allow your organization to utilize the power of your extended workforce to aid with decision making in regards to biometric searches.

    DaonAdjudicate is supplied as a HTML5 web component that can be embedded into case management and Business Process Management (BPM) task forms to display search results, information and images from DaonEngine to aid in decision making by investigators. The DaonAdjudicate HTML5 component can be embedded into any BPM product that has a web based user interface.

    The DaonAdjudicate web component allows an adjudicator to record the following data for each candidate in a search result list:

    • An overall “match” / “no match” decision on the candidate
    • A comment on the decision
    • The ability to mark regions of interest on the candidate image and record a comment for each

     

    The DaonAdjudicate tool provides the following tools to the adjudicator:

    • Display of fused biometric scores from the candidates
    • Display of Raw biometric scores from the candidates
    • Display of Quality Data (where available)
    • Display of biometric images
    • Pan & Zoom of biometric images
    • Brightness adjustment of biometric images
    • Contrast adjustment of biometric images
    • Color inversion of biometric images
    • Gray Scale conversion of biometric images
    • Mirroring of biometric images
    • Rotation of biometric images

     

    The DaonAdjudicate uses REST webservices to retrieve data about searches and candidate lists from DaonEngine and to persist adjudicator decisions. The BPM tool has access to these decisions to provide input to decision points in the workflow such as escalation processes.
