SnapIns

SnapIns are individual software components that are installed with DaonEngine to enable biometric matching functions for a particular biometric modality or algorithm. SnapIns enable industry accepted algorithms and matching systems to be used within the DaonEngine management context. Highly modular and configurable, any combination of SnapIns can be installed and registered with the DaonEngine to suit a particular business requirement.

• Over 50 SnapIns available for authentication and identification across fingerprint, face, iris, DNA, and palm biometrics enabling industry leading biometric technology to be used off-the-shelf with a DaonEngine.
• Configuration and performance is Policy driven within the DaonEngine policy management context making it easy to configure the SnapIn.
• Integrated with the Security context of the DaonEngine data sent to and used by SnapIns is secure.
• As individual building blocks any combination of SnapIns including multiple instances of the same SnapIn can be installed to meet functionality, availability, and throughput requirements.
