Standards

The world's standards bodies (ICAO, ILO, ISO) are selecting biometrics and chip-based technologies for use in identity documents.

Daon works extensively with National and International standards bodies in promoting the industry. This work includes the establishment and Chair of the European Biometric Forum, funded by the EU Commission to provide guidance in these areas.

Daon is specifically involved in;

  • BioAPI - biometric industry specific standard
  • ISO SC 37 standards - ISO special committee for biometrics
Daon is an active participant in all of these bodies. Daon provides this expertise to its partners during the design and implementation of solutions involving biometrics.
