New Identity Management Solution Increases Security, Reduces Administration Costs

Chicago - November 12, 2002 - CSI Computer Security Institute - Daon, a provider of security and accountability software systems, today announced interoperability with IBM Tivoli identity management software. The complementary solution offers enterprises a comprehensive authentication and authorization system that accepts biometric identity information and helps reduce the cost and complexity caused by multiple types of authentication systems.

With the new integration between IBM Tivoli Access Manager and Daon’s flagship product DaonEngine, customers can leverage strong biometric authentication and single sign-on to control access to their e-business and applications. DaonEngine authenticates users to the system using biometric credentials, such as fingerprint, voice and iris, and IBM Tivoli Access Manager delivers single sign-on and access to the appropriate system resources based on security and business policies.

Additionally, IBM Tivoli Identity Manager provides the unified life-cycle management of identities enabling companies to provision user identities and access rights to multiple applications, thereby helping companies to significantly lower administration costs.
