Daon Exec to Speak at Biometrics Consortium Conference

Daon, a global provider of identity assurance software, announced today one of the company's executives will speak at the Biometrics Consortium Conference (BCC) in Baltimore, Maryland, September 11-13.
Cathy Tilton, Daon's Vice President, Standards and Technology will present "Implementing Biometric Standards – Architectural and Design Considerations," as part of the Biometrics Standards Session; and will also present "INCITS M1 Study Report on Biometric and E-Authentication – Major Findings and Next Steps," in the International/Industry Focus Track.
Tilton is considered a leading expert in the biometrics standards arena. Since October 1999 she has been the elected chair of the BioAPI Consortium and for the last three years she has been the head of the US delegation to ISO/IEC JTC1 SC37 (subcommittee on biometrics).
The 2007 Biometric Consortium Conference addresses the latest trends in biometrics research, development and application on biometric technologies. This conference addresses the important role that biometrics can play in the identification and verification of individuals in this age of heightened security and privacy by examining biometric-based solutions for homeland security (airport security, travel documents, visas, border control, prevention of ID theft) as well as the utilization of biometrics in other applications such as point of sale and large-scale enterprise network environments.
