Daon Execs to Speak at OASIS Symposium on eBusiness and Standards
Reston, VA, March 6, 2006 – Daon, a global provider of identity assurance software, announced today that two of its executives will speak at the upcoming symposium sponsored by the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS). The conference, entitled "eBusiness and Enabling Standards: Understanding the Facts, Fiction and Future" will be held in San Diego, April 15 through 20th, 2007.
Cathy Tilton, Vice President, Standards and Technology and Matt Swayze, Senior Architect at Daon will present as part of the "Standards as Solutions" session. Their presentation will focus on the value of standards in resolving business requirements. Tilton is considered a leading expert in the biometrics standards arena. Since October 1999 she has been the elected chair of the BioAPI Consortium. She recently returned from meetings of the ISO/IEC JTC1 SC37 subcommittee on biometrics where she headed the US delegation participating in working groups engaged in setting international standards for biometrics.
Matt Swayze represents Daon in the INCITS M1 technical committee on biometrics, where he currently serves as the project editor for the INCITS BIAS standards project. Mr. Swayze also serves as Secretary for the OASIS BIAS Technical Committee.
OASIS is a not-for-profit, international consortium that drives the development, convergence, and adoption of e-business standards. The symposium will feature keynote addresses, two tracks with sessions geared for both high-level and technical attendees, and several interactive panel discussions. All presentations will be geared to provide an assessment and preview of what emerging technologies and standards are likely to shape the future of eBusiness and eGovernment, as well new trends in developing publishing software.
