Daon Execs to Speak at Biometrics Consortium Conference
Reston, VA, Sept. 13, 2006 – Daon, a global provider of identity assurance software, announced today that three of its executives will speak at the Biometrics Consortium Conference (BCC) in Baltimore, Maryland, September 19-21.
Cathy Tilton, Daon’s Vice President, Standards and Technology will make a number of appearances at the event. She will moderate a discussion on Biometrics, XML and Web Services; participate on the Biometrics in E-Authentication Panel; and speak on the BIAS Project – Biometric Identity Assurance Services, where she will be joined by Matt Swayze, Senior Architect at Daon. Tilton is considered a leading expert in the biometrics standards arena. Since October 1999 she has been the elected chair of the BioAPI Consortium and for the last three years she has been the head of the US delegatation to ISO/IEC JTC1 SC37 (subcommittee on biometrics).
Conor White, Daon’s Chief Technology Officer, will participate in the government session focused on homeland security and the TSA Registered Traveler program on Wednesday, September 20. With more than 18 years experience in software engineering, focused in the development of biometrics, smart cards, electronic payments, PKI, information security and e-business infrastructure, Conor White is a leading expert in his field and a sought-after speaker. Recently, Conor has spent much of his time working with systems integrators in the design and development of major government identity assurance solutions using biometric technology, both in the U.S. and around the world.
The 2006 Biometric Consortium Conference addresses the latest trends in biometrics research, development and application on biometric technologies.
