Summary:

Daon is seeking world class senior consultants to work with Daon clients and partners in architecting identity assurance solutions. Applicants must have the willingness and desire to learn and apply new technology. The consultant will be responsible for technical RFI / RFP response creation, solution architecture, technical team leadership and custom software design tasks to integrate Daon and partner products into a complete identity assurance system.

The principal technical consultants will have autonomous responsibility for the complete technical delivery of integrated solutions for national governments and civil systems. Candidates must be able to evangelize Daon's technology and offerings to prospective customers, both in educating prospects regarding biometrics, solution pros/cons, and general architecture advantages/disadvantages. Travel requirement: 30%+.

Daon is a leading provider of biometric identity assurance software, delivering proven identification and verification solutions to enterprises and system integrators enabling them to rapidly deploy mission critical identity management systems using biometrics technology.

Responsibilities:

• RFI / RFP review, analysis and response creation.
• Presentations and technical workshops with System Integrator partners
• Conduct solution workshops with customers and partners
• Logical & Physical architectures, system sizings and services labour estimates
• Technical leadership of the solution creation / delivery team
• Assisting the Project Manager with schedule, status and resource allocation
• Derive product and software requirements from proposed system solutions
• Design of customer solutions based on Daon products and technology
• Working closely to support the Field (Direct & Partner) Sales teams, including educating prospective customers about Daon's products. This includes conference calls, site visits, presentations, technical evaluations, technical objection handling, and follow up on all customer related issues

Skills & Experience:

• Track record of delivering world class customized / product technical solutions to large enterprises and governments.
• Exceptional interface design and development experience. In particular, experience of enterprise system integration issues (reliability, scalability, transactionality, security etc.)
• Architect level experience in .NET AND Java technologies.
• Strong development knowledge of enterprise relational databases (e.g. Oracle or DB2 Server) in clustered / high availability configurations.
• Deep experience with clustered web servers and application servers such as IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, and Oracle Application Server.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills; demonstrated experience working with customers in customer environments
• Excellent business writing, communication, and presentation skills
• Highly Desirable: experience in information security, biometrics, PKI infrastructures and large government organizations is a major plus
• Highly Desirable: Exposure to OASIS XML standards (WSS, SAML.etc)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field. M.Sc preferred.
• Minimum 7 - 9 years experience in a similar customer facing role
• Secret Clearance or higher (desired)
